Rates vary depending on your move — there is no one-size-fits-all price on this page. Happy Movers quotes each job individually: crew size, truck, access, packing and distance all shape the total. Pricing is agreed upon upfront before moving day. Long-distance moves to other provinces across Canada and the United States are quoted per move on distance and volume. Nothing appears on the final invoice that was not agreed first.
Condos & high-rises
A condo move is decided by the building, not the furniture. The elevator booking, the move-in window and how you reach the loading dock matter more than the number of boxes - which is why we sort those out before your date rather than on the morning.
Most Toronto buildings only release the elevator in blocks, and month-end blocks go first. We confirm the booking with property management so the crew is not waiting in the lobby.
Buildings commonly restrict moves to set hours on set days. We plan the crew size around your window so the job finishes inside it rather than running over.
Downtown towers route moves through the dock or P1. Where the curb is a bus lane, a bike lane or a no-standing zone, we work out the approach ahead of time.
Elevator pads, floor runners and doorframe protection are in place before anything is carried, which is usually what building management wants to see.
Narrow corridors, sharp turns off the elevator lobby and doorways that a sofa only clears on its side are the normal condition of a Toronto condo move, not an exception.

Boxes go to the right rooms, furniture is rebuilt and put where you want it, and we do a walkthrough before we leave.

I had an excellent experience with Happy Movers. Two guys came in a truck to help me move from one city to another 4 hours away. They were super efficient and got all my furniture loaded into the truck within 2 hours, including a huge sofa. They then efficiently unloaded all my furniture into my new apartment without making any scratches or damages to the walls or furniture. I really appreciated their help and I will certainly be using their services in the future! Thanks Happy Movers!

Happy movers were excellent in handling my move. Osa and his colleague Mohamed (sorry if spelled wrong) were easy to work with and were on time and an excellent job handing my belongings. The only (and honestly it's a small thing) hiccup to getting 5 stars was not wrapping the bed as discussed on the phone. I quickly let them know my.... Concern and they rectified that immediately. But still I figured that would be common knowledge or they would have some form of protection while moving that. Otherwise they were significantly understanding, quick to the punch with anything that came up extremely fast and careful and it was all under the price point I thought I'd have to pay. Minus that one small issue, It's genuinely a 6/5 star experience. When I eventually have to move again I WILL definitely be calling upon them to aid in my move Thank you HAPPY MOVERS!! (ps. Thank you, Osa & Mo, for being so understanding with the issues that came up and being upfront about everything).

No. Pricing, crew size and any packing materials are agreed before moving day, and we do not add charges you have not seen. If something changes on the day - an extra stop, a much longer carry, more packing than expected - we tell you what it does to the price before we carry on.
Two to four weeks is comfortable for most moves. Month-end, weekends and the July 1st changeover book up first, because that is when most Toronto leases turn over. We do also take short-notice work when a crew is free - a number of our Google reviews are from last-minute moves - so it is worth calling even if you are moving this week.
Yes, condo and apartment moves are a large part of our work in Toronto. We book the service elevator, keep to the move-in window your building sets, load from the dock rather than the front lobby, and put down floor and elevator protection first. If your property manager needs paperwork before the date, tell us when you book and we will sort it out with them.
Yes. You can have us pack the entire home, only the kitchen and fragile items, or just buy the materials and pack yourself. We bring boxes, paper, bubble wrap, tape and specialty cartons for dishes and glassware. Everything that goes on the truck is wrapped either way - blankets on wood furniture, shrink wrap on upholstery, bags on mattresses.
Yes. Storage is one of our services, which matters when your closing and possession dates do not line up or the new place is not ready. The same team loads your belongings into storage and delivers them to the new address when you are ready.

A one-bedroom condo often finishes in three to five hours, while a full house usually takes most of a day. What actually moves the number is elevator access, how far the carry is between the door and the truck, and whether the packing is already done when we arrive. Your quote includes the hours we expect.
Yes. Our line is open 24 hours and we run moves seven days a week, including weekends and month-end, which are the busiest dates in Toronto. If you need an early start or an evening finish, say so when you book so the crew is scheduled for it.
Anything hazardous or flammable has to travel with you rather than on the truck - propane tanks, gasoline, paint, aerosols, cleaning chemicals and ammunition. It is also worth carrying cash, jewellery, passports, laptops and medication yourself so they never leave your hands.
